An in-building cell phone booster is about 3 to 5 times powerful than an in-house cell phone booster. It can amplify and redistribute cell signals up to 100,000 square feet. Most of the industrial-grade signal boosters used to boost cell signals in large commercial buildings needs professional installation. They also require the approval of the respective service carriers. Industrial grade signal boosters are usually used for amplifying cell signals for over 50,000 square feet. Most often splitters are used for distributing amplified cell signals to all the rooms in a commercial building.

The cable from the amplifier unit of the M2M signal booster directly connects to the modem. An M2M signal booster will improve the data downloads and uploads.
